Elizabeth Larson is a financial consultant with a skill set that helps people make smart choices with their money, empowering them to purse their unique goals by first defining the values upon which they are based. With a holistic approach, and using Values-Based Financial Planning, she helps her clients identify what is important about money to them. This includes providing special needs planning services to families and organizations that serve people with special needs.
Since childhood, Elizabeth has watched her parents live their mission, “blessed to be a blessing”. Her goal is to carry that mission forward. Having a diverse family, including four sisters with Down Syndrome, Elizabeth understands the importance of special needs planning. She strives to alleviate any fear of “what if,” and replace it with the comfort that comes from coordinating special needs planning with an overarching financial strategy.
Elizabeth, along with other Special Needs Professionals, is a member of the Academy of Special Needs Planners. She believes in the team approach and understands the importance of cultivating relationships with subject matter experts in various fields to help ensure her clients confidently pursue their goals.
Elizabeth has been involved in Gigi’s Playhouse, a Down Syndrome achievement center that provides free resources for any individual with a diagnosis. Her first experience with Gigi’s was the “Over The Edge” fundraiser, where she rappelled down a 26 story building in Detroit to raise money for the organization. She also tutors in their new literacy program specifically designed for individuals with Down Syndrome. She also volunteers at the Judson Center, an organization that provides comprehensive services that strengthen children, adults and families impacted by abuse and neglect, autism, developmental disabilities, and mental health challenges so they are successful in their communities.
